• When I finally came to, I found myself alone in a small, dark room, staring blankly at a computer screen. It was early 2013, and I’d been lost in thought for what felt like an eternity. All around me was thousands of dollars’ worth of computer and video gear—a picture of success, yet I felt numb and empty. I kept asking myself, “Is this it? Is this really what I want to do with my life?”

The passion was gone, my purpose unclear. I knew something had to change.

• Then one day, as we walked through the lounge toward the door, my wife called out from the kitchen, “Andy, thank you for bringing Ricky onto this video project. He’s come alive.” In that moment, it hit me—that’s what I was missing. I felt energized by the creativity and collaboration, inspired to contribute to something greater. The power of storytelling brought deeper meaning to my work.

Over the next few years, I immersed myself in learning the art of storytelling, connecting with people who shared this passion.

• Five years later, I found myself back in that same room, editing a video on human diversity and the universal language of a smile. I realized I was finally engaged in what I truly wanted: to enrich people’s lives by connecting them to each other and to a greater purpose.

Today, I’m constantly seeking new stories that inspire connection, meaning, and impact.
